Reconstituted stone

Also known as engineered stone, reconstituted stone is a material composed of crushed stone bound together by an adhesive and can be further classified as engineered quartz, polymer concrete and engineered marble stone. The process to make reconstituted stone involves compressing the mixture of stone and resin under a heated vacuum in a large press, using vibrations to set the material.

Reconstituted stone is considerably lighter compared to natural stone, additionally it is also easy to clean and resistant to stains, scratching, chips and cracking.

Peraway Marble (Aust) Pty Ltd stocks reconstituted stone that can be used for indoor flooring and wall cladding, back-splashes, kitchen table tops and bathroom vanities.
